Victoria has a host of gorgeous ocean spots that are home to some of the best beaches and marine life on the island. With a diverse blend of options to choose from there’s a beach for everyone to enjoy! Beautiful coastal homes are nestled right on the water making it the perfect spot to seek out a beachfront home as well. Below are 4 of our favourite beaches here in town:

Willows Beach: Willows is nestled right into the quiet neighborhood of Oak Bay and is within walking distance of the gorgeous Uplands area. With fine sand, a playground and even a tiny restaurant this is a great spot to grab a bite or take your family during the day. There are also waterfront lots lining the beach that are some of Victoria’s most sought after real estate. This serene beach is steps away from Estevan village where you can shop or grab a bite at the famous Willows Galley.

Dallas Road: This has got to be one of the best areas in Victoria for its beauty and also versatility. “The Dallas Road waterfront trail is ideal for walking, jogging and picnicking. Many paved sections of the route are baby stroller and wheelchair friendly as well, (source).”  The Dallas Road waterfront connects to Beacon Hill Park and continues along sidewalks, side streets, and some sandy beaches to Oak Bay. There is also access to the pristine oceanfront through small trails leading off of the main pathway.

Gyro Beach: “The park name comes from Cadboro Bay and the Gyro Club, who purchased the original 4.37 acres from the Goward estate in 1953 and then donated it to Saanich, (http://www.tourismvictoria.com/listings/Cadboro-Gyro-Park/64628/).” Enjoy the sandy beach and breathtaking views of the Juan de Fuca Strait and Olympic Peninsula at this spot! With access to Cadboro Bay village locals and tourist alike can explore the shops, grab some food and wine for the beach or hit up a yoga class at the local studio.

Gonzales Beach: Gonzo is by far one of the favourite hangouts for the locals. “It's located in Fairfield, which is walking distance from both downtown and Cook Street Village. It gets the most sun of any beach in Victoria, as it's located right on the southern tip of the island, (source).” It's also the best spot to go for a skim board when the tide is out. The beauty of Gonzales beach lies in it’s secluded sunny spots perfect for soaking up some sun or having a bbq.
